This is the story of Lille Isbjørn, or as we would call him in English, "Little Polar Bear":
Lille Isbjørn is a globe trotting adventurer. He loves kids, adventures, volunteering, and making his community a better place. He also loves salmon, berries, and playing in the snow.
Lille Isbjørn was part of a Christmas package I sent to Katrine last year. I didn't have much money for gifts but I still wanted to do something really nice for her. So, I spent day and night making all of her gifts myself.
Inside the box was a heart-shaped picture frame, a snowman Christmas tree ornament, a beautiful painting, and Lille Isbjørn himself... all painted by hand. There was also a note, some photos, and a blanket that I made by cutting and tying pieces of fleece cloth together. I managed to do all of this and ship it to Norway for less than $100, which was great since I was saving up for a global missions trip.
As I traveled the world, I met and played with kids in some of the most remote and impoverished regions of the world. I quickly realized that I have a heart for kids and that I want to spend my life making the world a better place for future generations.
Over the course of 2014, as I traveled the world doing missionary and humanitarian work, I would get updates from Katrine on the travels and adventures of Lille Isbjørn. He went on ski adventures, hikes, climbing trips, berry picking, learned to make dinner, and so many other amazing trips. So, while I was traveling and working in orphanages around the world, I had an idea: I am going to write a children's book on the life and adventures of Lille Isbjørn and donate the proceeds to children's charities.
So, thank you for reading this brief introduction about the life of Lille Isbjørn. We hope you will subscribe for updates, share this with friends and family, and follow along as Lille Isbjørn recounts some of his favorite adventures and as he provides lessons of hope, love, strength, and leadership for children at home.
